WCAU Says New Meteorologist to Start Next Week

By Kevin Eck

Tammie Souza will officially join NBC-owned WCAU next week as 5 and 11 p.m. meteorologist.

“Tammie’s engaging personality and passion for weather will be a great addition to the NBC10 First Alert Weather team,” said vp of News Anzio Williams. “Having covered many severe weather events, including blizzards, tornados, wildfires and hurricanes, her expertise will complement our weather team’s coverage in the Greater Philadelphia region.”

Souza comes from Fox’s WFLD in Chicago where she was weekend and weekday morning meteorologist. She’s also worked at WMAQ in Chicago and was the first female chief meteorologist at WTSP in Tampa-St. Petersburg, Florida. She started her career at KHSL in Chico, California before joining WDJT in Milwaukee as chief meteorologist.
