Friday was Laurie Monteforte‘s last day at Wilkes-Barre, Pa., NBC affiliate WBRE. She’ll become the director of Community Relations and Marketing for Mountain View Vineyard, Winery and Distillery.
She thanked viewers on her Facebook page, writing “It has been my pleasure to serve you for the past decade. Thank you for sharing your stories with me and inviting me into your homes each night.”
“”I decided it’s time for a change,” Monteforte told the Pocono Record. “This is an exciting new opportunity that will allow me to spend more time with my 5-year-old son, who’s my first priority.”

Monteforte started at WBRE in 2005. She came from WSBG and WVPO Radio. She was also a videographer for Blue Ridge Cable TV 13.
