Wilmington, NC, ABC affiliate WWAY celebrated “International Talk Like a Pirate Day” this morning.
Anchors Ashley Jacobs, Randy Aldridge and meteorologist Tim Buckley slapped on eye patches and attempted speaking like pirates speak. “Are these one of those things we’re going to regret immediately after we’ve done it?” asked Jacobs.
Buckley provided the clunker of the morning when he asked, “Where do pirates get their taxes done?” His answer? “H & Rrrrrrr Block.” TVspy could almost hear the rimshot from our offices on Parrrrrrk Avenue in NYC.
