Viviana Hurtado has joined Toledo, Ohio, CBS and Fox affiliate WTOL-WUPW as evening anchor for WUPW.

She’ll anchor the 6:30 newscast with anchor and sports director Dan Cummins and the 10 p.m. with Jerry Anderson.

“I covered national politics in Washington, D.C. for 9 years. In Ohio and in a great news town like Toledo, politics is 100 times more interesting because it’s up close, personal, and immediately impactful,” said Hurtado. “I’m excited to be in the critical battleground state of Ohio before the 2016 Presidential election, listening and learning how this community ticks and connecting it to my national experience.”
