Craig Fiegener, who has been a California-based reporter since 1996, will join NBC owned-and-operated KNBC in Los Angeles as a general assignment reporter next week.
Fiegner will focus on the Inland Empire region of Riverside and San Bernadino counties. A large majority of his reporting career has been spent on this region of Southern California — from 2002 to 2006, he served as the Inland Empire bureau reporter for rival station KCBS. He left to start a local news website for the region, InstantRiverside.com.
“Craig is the perfect combination of broadcast and web journalist, who has been covering the Inland Empire since 2006,” said Vickie Burns, vice president of news at KNBC. “This, along with his award-winning on-air reporting experience, make him the perfect choice to spearhead the station’s Inland Empire coverage.”
