Veteran Meteorologist Paul Ossmann Rumored to Be On His Way Out at WXIA

Meteorologist Paul Ossmann is rumored to be leaving Atlanta’s WXIA after 12 years with the NBC-affiliate.

Ossmann has been a fixture on Atlanta TV for over two decades.  Before joining WXIA, Ossmann spent more than 10 years with Fox-affiliate WAGA, where he helped launch the station’s morning newscast.

A source has told Rodney Ho of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution that  Ossmann’s contract will not be renewed, although he is expected to stay on through the spring.

Ossmann is currently WXIA’s chief meteorologist, appearing on the station’s 6, 7, and 11 p.m. newscasts.

According to his WXIA bio, Ossmann is 102.
