Veteran Anchor Al Terzi Out at Hartford’s WFSB

By Merrill Knox

After failing to agree on terms of a new contract with station management, Al Terzi will anchor his last WFSB newscast this week.

“We couldn’t reach contractual terms,” general manager Klarn DePalma told the New Haven Register. “It just didn’t work out.”

Terzi, who anchors the 5 and 5:30 p.m. newscasts, is a veteran of the Hartford CBS-affiliate. He has done two stints, totaling 28 years, at the station.

Terzi said he is talking with “other media outlets,” but said he had nothing to announce yet. Dennis House will anchor the 5 and 5:30 newscasts until the station is prepared to announce a replacement.
