Tucson ABC-affiliate KGUN has obtained home video of Jared Lee Loughner while he was an aspiring musician in 8th and 9th grades.
The home video shows a fuzzy-haired Loughner playing saxophone in his school’s jazz band. KGUN ran the footage during its 10 p.m. newscast on Wednesday.

KGUN reporter Joel Waldman spoke to the owner of the footage, local photographer Robert Blanco. Blanco’s daughter played alongside Loughner in the band. The two described him as a “soft-spoken” kid who was a “great musician.”
