Tribune Broadcasting has named Chris Wayland vp of group operations.
Starting September 19, Wayland will report to Tribune’s president of Broadcast Media Larry Wert and svp and COO Kathy Clements.
“Chris has acquired unique industry experience with Sunbeam developing and executing strategies to grow both advertising and distribution revenue,” said Wert. “He is a perfect solutions-oriented fit to join Tribune Broadcasting’s management team.”
Wayland comes from Sunbeam Television where he was evp and GM of WSVN in Miami and WHDH-WLVI in Boston. He was promoted from his position as the stations’ gsm. Prior to Sunbeam, he was director of sales for Comcast Spotlight
