Milwaukee CBS affiliate WDJT has announced the promotion of Tracy Davis from assistant news director to news director.
“Tracy’s vision and strong news instincts along with her endless drive and passion make her the ideal leader for our news group,” said Mark Strachota, vice president and general manager, WDJT. “With Tracy’s inside knowledge of our newsroom and news strategy I look forward to even greater success as we continue to grow our news footprint in the market.”
Davis, who joined WDJT in August of 2013, replaces Genie Garner, who was reportedly fired in March. She has been acting news director since then.

Davis was previously news director at Burlington, Vt, Fox and ABC affiliates WFFF-WVNY.
