Amulya Raghuveer, who has served as WNWO‘s internet managing editor for the past four years, has been named news director of the Toledo NBC-affiliate.
WNWO, which has been floundering in third place behind ABC-affiliate WTVG and CBS-affiliate WTOL in the ratings, is looking to go in a new direction and the choice of Raghuveer, a New Media veteran, as news director certainly does that.
“My experience in this newsroom as an Internet Managing Editor will be a huge asset in terms of how our product develops in the coming months and into the future,” Raghuveer told TVSpy recently.
“Having managed web content here for past four years I’ve seen a lot of different reactions to online news and its place in local television markets. That experience will help us define our place in a very competitive market.”
