THV11 is making changes to the talent lineup in the weather department.

Meteorologist Mariel Ruiz will join the morning show as meteorologist and co-anchor. Ruiz has been with the Tegna owned station in Little Rock since 2016. Prior to this new role, she appeared on number of station newscasts.

“I know Mariel’s excited to help Arkansans get their day started with an accurate and interesting weather forecast. She’s a great fit with our morning team and we expect Mariel’s commitment to community and weather to make a big impact,” said general manager Michael Caplan.

And on March 12, meteorologist Nathan Scott will join the station. He comes from WAPT in Jackson, Mississippi. Scott is a AMS-certified meteorologist.

“Nathan is a self-admitted scientist who loves breaking down the weather so that it relates to everyone,” said Parker.

Scott will serve as the weekend meteorologist for THV11.
