Texas Telemundo Station Adds 4 P.M. Newscast and Video Journalist

Telemundo 40 Rio Grande Valley (KTLM) says its adding a 30 minute weekday newscast at 4 p.m. on Sept. 26.

The station also says it’s hired Carlos Sánchez as a video journalist for the 10 p.m. newscast. He’ll make his on-air debut in early August.

“Carlos is a dedicated and passionate journalist and I’m very excited that he’s joining our news team,” said news director Miguelángel López. “Carlos will help us continue with our mission of connecting with our viewers and delivering them the coverage and information they need – across all platforms – to help them stay ahead.”

Sanchez comes from KTDO Telemundo El Paso where he worked as a reporter. He’s also worked for Azteca America and Channel 44 in Ciudad Juárez, Mexico.
