Telemundo 47 New York is rebranding its weather team as La Autoridad en El Tiempo, which translates to Weather Authority.
The team is made up of the market’s only bilingual meteorologists: chief meteorologist Andrea Romero and meteorologist Pedro Montoro. The team also includes weekend weather anchor Janice Bencosme.
We hear Telemundo New York will have a focus on weather not found on the other Spanish-language stations in the area. Telemundo says “Spanish-speaking viewers in the New York Tri-State area can expect to receive more in-depth and comprehensive meteorological analysis and reports to help them and their families start stay informed about the severe weather that could affect their communities.”
Weather forecasts are also available on Telemundo’s newly redesigned digital apps.
