Telemundo New York Hires 2 Reporters, Names Show Host

WNJU, Telemundo New York, has announced the hiring of Fernando Gomez (pictured left) and Alfredo Acosta (center) as reporters.

“Fernando and Alfredo are outstanding journalists who are passionate about reporting the news that our communities deserve to know about,” said WNJU vp of news Karen Mendez.

The NBCUniversal-owned station has also named Victoria Sosa as the host of its local entertainment show, Acceso Total.

Both reporters have been working at Telemundo New York as freelancers. Sosa has been working part-time as host of Acceso Total and as a weather anchor for the station.

Acosta came from SIN news network in the Dominican Republic. He’s also worked as a reporter for the State Radio and Television Corporation. Gomez has worked at local Univision stations in San Francisco, Los Angeles and New York.
