telemundo las vegasKBLR, the Telemundo station in Las Vegas, has announced a new investment in its local newscasts: the station will hire new people and bring production of the 6 and 11 p.m. broadcasts back in-house.

The two newscasts were previously produced in Phoenix, with the 6 p.m. newscast broadcast live and the 11 p.m. newscast pre-taped. Beginning this week, as production shifts back to Las Vegas, both newscasts will be live.

The station will also hire more than a dozen new people, including anchor Beatriz Moncayo and weathercaster Leticia Castro.
