Sussy Ruiz has been named assistant news director for Telemundo Houston.
Ruiz most recently worked at Univision in Miami as regional broadcast and digital news manager. She’s also worked as news executive producer at Univision in Houston.
“We are excited to have Sussy join the growing Telemundo Houston family,” vp of news Jerry Vazquez wrote in a memo posted to Houston media blogger Mike McGuff’s website. “Sussy brings over 16 years of experience, most-recently working in various newsrooms and across all platforms, in her role as regional local news broadcast and digital manager at Univision.”
