Telemundo Denver Gets New News Director

Telemundo Denver gets a new News Director.  He comes from KXAS where he was the Assistant News Director

Alfredo Sánchez will step into his new role at KDEN on Monday, May 1.

“Smart, experienced and committed, Alfredo is a trusted newsroom leader and I’m excited that he will join Telemundo Denver. His vast experience in news and production will help to strengthen our already strong position in the market so we can continue being the leading source for news and information for Spanish-speaking viewers in Denver,” said Andrés Chaparro, president and GM of Telemundo Denver.

Sanchez worked at several Telemundo stations before landing in Denver. He started at Telemundo Houston, KTMD, in 1999. He started at a newspaper reporter in Houston and works as an adjunct professor teaching broadcasting and journalism classes at local colleges in Texas.

“I am very excited about the opportunity to work with Andrés and the Telemundo Denver team,” said Sánchez.
