Just a week after Robin Roberts’ publicly announced that she suffers from MDS, KIVI anchor Tamara Jolee has revealed that she suffers from a similar blood and bone marrow disorder as the “Good Morning America” anchor.
In a recent statement, Jolee said she was “heartbroken” to hear about Roberts’ diagnosis.
“Although my cancer and blood disorder battle is long from over, I’m forever grateful of the life I’ve lived, no matter how long or short,” Jolee said. “I send my prayers and well wishes to Robin and everyone else out there fighting a health scare.”
Jolee was diagnosed with stage four Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, which is now in remission, three years ago. Like in Roberts’ case, the chemotherapy she was treated with is believed to have caused MDS.
