Morning anchor Steve Ammerman has announced that he will be signing off from WTEN, the ABC-affiliate in Albany, next week.
“The station has been wonderful and did everything they could to try and persuade me to stay, but I have decided to try something new,” Ammerman wrote on Facebook this morning. “I will be staying in the Albany area, and am looking forward to some exciting opportunities that have presented themselves to me.”
Ammerman, who has worked at WTEN since 1997, will say goodbye to the station on June 10.
