Update: TVSpy received this statement from Brandom, “I can confirm I am going to WFAA 8 News ABC in Dallas, Texas. I will be starting as one of the anchors for the DayBreak morning weekday show June 5th.”
KRBK FOX 5 anchor Janelle Brandom announced her last day on-air in Springfield will be today.
But she won’t say where she’s going, until tonight’s 9 p.m. newscast.
“My last day with FOX 5 will be next Wednesday. I am forever grateful for the incredible support I have received from the Springfield community these past 2 years and the friendships I made along the way!, Brandom wrote in a Facebook post.
Exchanges on her social media feeds suggest she’s heading to Kansas City, Missouri.
Brandom has been the station’s 9 p.m. anchor since 2015. Before that, she was an MMJ at KNOE in Monroe, Louisiana.
