Sports Anchor Moves to Sales Department at WWL

Scott Cody is leaving his job as weekend sports anchor at WWL to join the station’s sales department.

Cody explained to The Times-Picayune that he decided to make the move because he wanted a more family-friendly schedule.  He is married to WWL reporter Jill Hezeau, who works weekday mornings, and the couple has one child and another on the way.

“It’s a lifestyle change,” Cody told The Times-Picayune. “I get the chance to be home on the weekends. I get to be home at a reasonable hour during the week.”

Cody’s last shift on-air is set for next Wednesday.
