Florida is known for its tropical creatures, but the spider that seemed to dwarf WPTV meteorologist Glenn Glazer (video after the jump) at least looked to be of historic proportions:
RT @glennglazer I had an eight-legged friend visit me while I was showing our downtown camera this morning!! pic.twitter.com/bpB4rw5mYh

The spider, which arrived on cue for Glazer’s 7 a.m. forecast Thursday, was of course not “giant” but rather of less terrifying dimensions, and crawling across the lens of WPTV’s downtown tower cam.
What is it about weather folks? Are they tasty? Just last month, a bat interrupted the weather at WEYI in Michigan, flying right into the studio.
Perhaps the most viral insect invasion during weather was this one.
