sinclair logoSinclair Broadcast Group has purchased office space for two of its newly-acquired stations, KFOX and KDBC in El Paso.

The building, which used to be a theater, will undergo significant renovations before KFOX and KDBC move in. Sinclair plans to build news sets, satellite farms and sales and administration facilities for the stations.

“We are very excited about the merger, which we believe gives us an increased opportunity, and responsibility to serve our community,” KFOX general manager Kevin Hayes said in a statement. “To meet those needs, we plan on expanding the KDBC news team and leveraging the strength of KFOX to build two news teams in order to provide more comprehensive and superior news products.”
