Shannon Mulaire Promoted to Mornings at WFXT

By Merrill Knox

Shannon Mulaire has been named morning anchor at Boston Fox O&O WFXT.

Mulaire joined WFXT in 2010 as a weekend anchor and weekday reporter. She replaces Kim Carrigan, who was cut loose from the station earlier this month, as Gene Lavanchy’s co-anchor on the morning newscast.

“I’m delighted that Shannon is joining our morning team,” WFXT vice president and news director Paul McGonagle said in a statement. “Her New England roots and strong reporting skills are an asset to the station and we look forward to the new energy she’ll bring to FOX25 Morning News.”
