If you were watching Cleveland Fox affiliate WJW last night you might forgive the anchors their awkward and distracted banter coming out of meteorologist Jenn Harcher‘s weather forecast. It seems they were busy watching the NBA Finals on that competing network.
Viewers were able to witness the moment the anchors heard their hometown team had won a championship since WJW was doing a 10:00 p.m. newscast.

“Ladies and gentleman, breaking news,” said Bill Sheil after interrupting Harcher, who didn’t seem to mind all that much. “More than a half century of waiting, Cleveland is tonight a city of champions.”
The station then gave up any pretense of doing news and went straight to the city’s celebration.
