San Francisco station KRON has added Quadcopter 4 to its newsgathering toolkit.
TVNewscheck reports the drone is flown by newscast director Mark Burnette. “It’s great to get out of the control room and use my skills as a pilot for the station in this exciting, new way,” Burnette said.
The Media General-owned station was sure to let people know it had the proper permits to fly the DJI Inspire 1 model drone when it employed Quadcopter4 to check out the damage done by the Valley Fire in Middletown, Calif. The fire burned through the area two months ago, killing four people and destroying more than 1200 homes.
