San Francisco ABC Station to Shuffle Anchors

By Kevin Eck

Kristen Sze and Eric Thomas are being moved off the morning anchor desk at KGO. The two will be replaced by recent hires Natasha Zouves and Reggie Aqui.

Rich Lieberman first reported the news. The two have been a fixture on the San Francisco ABC-owned station’s morning news for at least 15 years. TVSpy remembers doing a morning news promo on film with Sze and her then co-anchor Cameron Harper in the early 2000’s.

Sze will become the 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. co-anchor when Cheryl Jennings moves into her new role. Thomas will move to weekend anchor and reporter. A KGO spokesperson told TVSpy the moves will happen later this year.

Jennings announced last week she was leaving the KGO anchor desk.

Zouves came from KGTV in San Diego in July. Aqui recently left Portland’s KGW to work at KGO.
