Sacramento’s KCRA continued an impressive run of dominance during the February sweeps period.  With last month’s results, the NBC-affiliate’s 5 and 6 p.m. newscasts have finished #1 in every sweep period since February 1998.

“We live and breathe our slogan, ‘Where the News Comes First,” said Anzio Williams, KCRA’s news director, explaining his station’s continued success.

KCRA’s 6 p.m. newscast drew an average of 113,213 households Monday-Friday with 5 p.m. pulling in 134,251, making it the station’s top-rated newscast. KCRA’s 11 p.m. newscast was also #1, averaging 70,856 households for the full week.
