Returning to KING After Cancer Treatment, Jesse Jones Thanks Viewers for Support

Popular consumer reporter Jesse Jones returned to Seattle’s KING on Monday after undergoing cancer treatment. Jones thanked viewers for sending “cards and letters and well wishes and prayers” during his leave of absence from the NBC-affiliate.  “I have been truly humbled by the response,” he said.

Jones took leave from the station in December after cancer cells were discovered in his lungs.  Jones recently overcame a three-year battle with kidney cancer but the disease had spread. Fortunately, though, doctors caught the lung cancer in the very early stages.  He had two tumors removed in November and, during his time away from the station, he underwent immunotherapy to kill all remaining cancer cells.

“One thing I can tell you from this point forward is that you’re going to get nothing but the best from me,” he said emphatically.
