Retiring Longtime Sportscaster to be Replaced by Longtime Sportscaster

By Kevin Eck

KSHB sports director Jack Harry is retiring on June 30.

Harry came over to the Kansas City NBC affiliate in 2002 from KCTV. He’s covered Kansas City sports for over 40 years having worked early in his career at WDAF before joining KCTV in 1978.

“Jack has been a staple in this city for a long time,” said news director Carrie Hofmann. “His knowledge and passion for Kansas City sports will be missed.”

KSHB announced his replacement will be Frank Boal, who has worked at the station since 2010 after working at WDAF for 28 years. Dee Jackson will replace Boal as weekend anchor.
