The Chris Conte who plays for the NFL’s Chicago Bears recently deleted his Twitter account.
The Twitter handle of the Chris Conte who works as a reporter for CBS affiliate WTVF in Nashville, TN, is @chrisconte.
After the NFL playing Chris Conte had a questionable game against the Packers, he became the target of unhappy NFL fans. Those fans took to twitter to voice their displeasure with the NFL Chris Conte, but after he disabled his Twitter account, the fans started tweeting the reporter Chris Conte.
According to WTVF’s Conte, one said, “I will kill your babies.” Another suggested Conte, “Wrap your mouth around a tail pipe until you pass out.”
Another realized the mistaken identity and “lol’d” about it.

“Most of the things these people posted online for all the world to see are of course protected by the First Amendment of the United States Constitution,” said reporter Chris Conte. “But you have to wonder if somewhere along the way we’ve lost a small piece of common decency toward one another.”
Conte spoke to Psychology professor Chris Gonzales who told him, “If they were looking you in the eye or looking this Bears player in the eye they probably wouldn’t say these things.”
