KHOU‘s Malini Basu is leaving the Houston CBS affiliate for a new gig on the East Coast. The general assignment reporter has announced that she’s joining Boston FOX affiliate WFXT as a reporter.
As New England One first reported, this isn’t Basu’s first time in New England. She previously worked at WVIT, the NBC affiliate in Hartford, Conn., as a general assignment reporter.
On Friday, Basu took to Twitter to thank her colleagues and to say goodbye, writing:

“Where did 3 years go? Thank you to my awesome coworkers for all the goodies this am.i’ll miss everyone!time to shovel:)”
Basu starts her new gig on March 2.
