Reporter Leaves L.A. to Be Anchor in El Paso

KABC reporter Robert Holguin has left the Los Angeles ABC-owned station for a job in El Paso, Texas.

Media Moves reports Holguin is set to become an anchor at KFOX in mid-September.

“I’ll be working in El Paso again, where I’ll get a chance to spend more time with my beautiful family and where I plan to make a serious impact on the stories that are told along the U.S.-Mexico border,” Holguin wrote on his facebook page.

He started his career as a reporter for the Associated Press before moving to the El Paso Times in 1998. His first TV job was at El Paso’s KVIA in 2000. He started at KABC in 2006.
