Hartford NBC-owned station WVIT has announced the addition of Catalina Trivino to its news team.
Trivino will be a general assignment reporter at the station. She spent the past three years at CBS affiliate WAKA and ABC affiliate WNCF in Montgomery, Ala., where she was lead news reporter.
Trivino announced that she was leaving the Alabama News Network in late March on Facebook, writing:
I leave with mixed feelings because Alabama has been beyond amazing to me, but I’m also so humbled and excited by another opportunity that has opened its doors to me.
It’s been a truly amazing ride with all the people I’ve met and I’m incredibly thankful for YOU! All of the wonderful viewers, my co-workers, my family and friends, for those who gave tips, for all my contacts — THANK YOU for all your support, encouragement and ideas throughout my three years here in Alabama.
Trivino’s first day at WVIT was April 13.
