WTFX was reportedly working on a story featuring cellphone video of Philadelphia mayor Michael Nutter slapping a woman’s butt as they drank and bowled at a local bowling alley, when Nutter summoned news director Steve Schwaid to city hall for a meeting.
After the meeting, Schwaid informed his news staff that the video would not air unless he decided that it would, the Philadelphia Daily News reports.
Nutter, who is married (and not to the woman he was spanking), scheduled the meeting with Schwaid after WTFX screened the video for his communications team.

“Some journalists at Fox 29 were upset that Schwaid decided to kill, or at least sit on, the story,” Daily News columnist Dan Gross wrote.
