Rebecca Stevenson is joining Seattle Fox affiliate KCPQ as a meteorologist.
Stevenson comes from Al Jazeera America, where she worked after leaving Seattle CBS affiliate KIRO in 2012. She’s also worked at KING in Seattle.
“it’s official with a press release coming tomorrow,” Stevenson wrote on Facebook. “Monday-Friday Mornings with MJ and Tim on Q13 Fox, KCPQ Seattle, I’m joining the Weather Team. MJ is off this week so I’ll cover her main hours, then back to 4:30-6am primarily.”
“Weather is a top priority at the station and we have an incredible team of meteorologists who keep our viewers up to date and informed so they can prepare for their day,” said KCPQ news director Erica Hill. “We are thrilled to expand our morning team by bringing Rebecca Stevenson on as a full time meteorologist, working directly with M.J. and Tim to have the most committed, most experienced morning weather team in the Northwest.”
