Raycom Media named general managers at two of its stations today.
Jay Hiett was named VP & GM of NBC affiliate WFIE in Evansville, Ind. He replaces Nick Ulmer, who was named VP & GM of CBS affiliate KOLD in Tucson, Ariz.
Hiett started his career at KARD in Monroe, La. He later worked at WTVW in Evansville and joined Raycom Media in 2010.
“I am extremely honored to follow in the footsteps of Nick Ulmer and lead this great group of individuals,” said Hiett.
Ulmer’s first TV job was with WAVE in Louisville, Ky. where he was eventually named station manager. He has been GM of WFIE since 2010.
“I feel extremely fortunate to have been chosen to lead the KOLD team in Tucson,” said Ulmer. “I look forward to working at a great TV station, making my new home in such a beautiful part of the country and becoming a part of the wonderful community in Tucson and Southern Arizona.”
