Raycom has named Joe Sciortino vp and general manager of its Shreveport, La., CBS station KSLA. He’ll be replaced as vp and GM of Hattiesburg, Miss., NBC affiliate WDAM by Jama Davis Killingsworth.
Sciortino takes over for James Smith, who recently announced his retirement.
“Joe has proven that he is a strong and enthusiastic leader at other Raycom Media stations,” said Sandy Breland, Raycom Media Group vice president. “We are confident he will carry forward a legacy of excellence at KSLA.”
Before working at WDAM, Sciortino was GSM at KAIT in Jonesboro, Ark.
Killingsworth worked at WDBD in Jackson, Miss., for 12 years. She was GM and GSM at the Fox affiliate for the last three years.
“Jama has done a great job at FOX40 in Jackson and has grown the station’s news and commitment to the community,” said Breland. “Her tenacious spirit as well as her ties to the Pine Belt area make her the perfect choice to lead the team at WDAM.”
