Randi Goldklank Escapes Criminal Conviction After Hitting ‘Rock Bottom’ with Restaurant Striptease

Randi Goldklank, who was recently dismissed as general sales manager of West Palm Beach’s WPEC after being arrested for a public striptease at a local restaurant, has been ordered to complete 30 days of inpatient alcohol rehab and an additional 90 days of AA meetings.

Goldklank appeared in court on Wednesday, according to the Boston Herald, as a judge decided to waive a criminal conviction in favor of alcohol treatment and probation for charges stemming from the bawdy restaurant show, which included disorderly conduct and resisting an officer.

The attorney representing Goldklank, who left her previous job as vice president and general manager of Boston’s WHDH-WLVI amid allegations of unruly public behavior, said that she saw this incident as an opportunity to turn her life around.

“Every person that has an addiction, whether it be alcohol or otherwise, hits a rock bottom at some point–and that was her bottom,” Goldklank’s attorney said. “It was unfortunate, but at the end of the day, it probably will turn out to be a blessing in disguise for her.”
