The reporter for the FOX owned Dallas station pressed the President on topics such as Obamacare and raising the minimum wage, but she also asked him if finding missing Malaysian Airlines Flight 370 was a top priority for the US.
“Oh absolutely,” said Obama. “We have put every resource that we have available at the disposal of the search process. There’s been close cooperation with the Malaysian government and so not just NTSB but FBI all, anybody who typically deals with anything related to our aviation system is available and so, our thoughts and prayers are with the families, I want them to be assured that we consider this a top priority and we’re going to keep on working with the international community to see if we can get to the bottom of this.”
According to the station, Keller, TX, resident Philip Wood is among the 239 people on board the missing jet.
The president also talked about Southern Methodist University getting snubbed for the NCAA Tournament saying, “Larry Brown is a great coach, and you know, I think it’s a great story for him to have everything that he has accomplished both at the college level and the pro level to go back to the school that didn’t have the great tradition of basketball and really build up a wonderful program, so my suspicion is that Coach Brown and the team will be back. I want to congratulate them on a great season.”
