Police Arrest KDKA Producer Following Violent Confrontation (But You Won’t Hear That from KDKA)

Pittsburgh police are reviewing a violent confrontation at a Pirates game between officers and an intoxicated fan that ended with the man tazered and beaten to the ground with batons (video above).

While KDKA has covered the investigation this week, the CBS O&O has failed to mention what other local media outlets have: that a KDKA producer was also arrested in the incident.

According to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, police arrested Amanda Harle, a producer at KDKA, after she yelled at officers for using aggressive force in arresting Scott James Ashley.

Harle was part of a group that surrounded police as they beat Ashley. When officers attempted to remove Harle from the park following Ashley’s arrest, she resisted them, reportedly saying that she worked for KDKA.

Harle was charged with aggravated assault, defiant trespass, and disorderly conduct. The police report said that she attempted to kick the officer that was trying to remove her from the park and yelled “I work for KDKA and I’m going to fry your … ”
