Philadelphia Fox Station Adds Familiar Face as Meteorologist

Kathy Orr is joining Philadelphia Fox-owned station WTXF as an evening meteorologist.

“When you say the name Kathy Orr, you think credibility, depth of knowledge, incredible experience and a real warmth and likability,” said Dennis Bianchi, WTXF gm. “She is a household name in this city and we are thrilled to have her join our seasoned team.”

Orr was chief meteorologist at Philadelphia CBS-owned station KYW. She worked at the Philadelphia NBC-owned station WCAU before that. She’s also worked at MTV in New York and WTVH in Syracuse, N.Y. She’ll work the 5 and 10 p.m. newscasts starting Sept. 20.
