Orlando Station Announces New Anchor Lineup

WOFL has shuffled its anchor deck by moving two anchors, adding two anchors and seeing one anchor leave.

Starting Monday, October 10, newcomer Danielle Knox will anchor Good Day Orlando with Ryan Elijah from 4 a.m. to 7 a.m.

Bob Frier (pictured) moves from his evening slot to Good Day Orlando with Amy Kaufeldt from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. While newcomer Charles Billi will anchor with former morning anchor LuAnne Sorrell (pictured) at 5 p.m., 10 p.m. and 11 p.m.

The one anchor not mentioned in all this, 5 and 10 anchor Soni Abatta is leaving to be with her family. She’s worked at the station since 2009. Her last day will Be Friday, Oct. 7.

“We are going to miss seeing Sonni in the newsroom each day,” said vp of news Jeff Zeller. “We wish nothing but the best for her.”

Knox comes from WSVN in Miami where she was an anchor and reporter. Billi was an anchor and reporter at WTSP in Tampa.
