Omar Villafranca is joining CBS News as a Dallas-based correspondent for news services, the Network’s 24-hour television newsgathering service for the network’s affiliates. He will begin in his new role January 13.
“It’s been a great six years at NBC5. I’d like to thank (vice president of news) Susan Tully for hiring me, and everyone else for putting up with me,” Villafranca told Dallas media blogger Ed Bark. “I was lucky to work with so many great managers, editors, reporters, producers and photojournalists.”
