WBNS meteorologist Mike Davis is in jail on child pornography charges. And the Columbus station is now reporting that authorities are looking into thousands of images that date back several years.
Davis was arrested on Thursday after police received a tip weeks ago about the images.
Police searched his home and confiscated a laptop and four hard drives. Among the content found was an image of a prepubescent girl engaged in a sex act.
Davis is scheduled to be arraigned on Friday.
The station reached out to Davis’ attorney for comment. Davis declined an interview request with 10TV.
Mike Davis has been employed at 10TV for 31 years. The station said in a statement on its website, “we will cover this story with the same ethical standards we would any other case.”
