By Kevin Eck

Jeffrey West has been named vp and GM of WBTW in Myrtle Beach, S.C., a former Media General station.

This is a promotion for West, who was the general sales manager at the CBS affiliate and replaces Randy Ingram, who was recently promoted to vp and GM of Nexstar’s WISH-WNDY in Indianapolis, Indiana.

“Jeff has deep personal and business relationships in the Grand Strand and PeeDee regions where he has built a solid reputation as a trusted business partner,” said svp and Regional Manager Bill Sally. “With a results-oriented and entrepreneurial approach to the business of broadcasting, throughout his career he has consistently increased market share while growing digital revenues, improving customer retention and identifying new business opportunities. Jeff’s promotion is the logical progression in his professional career and we have the highest degree of confidence in his ability to continue enhancing the effectiveness and value of our broadcast, digital and mobile operations in the Myrtle Beach-Florence market.”
