Nexstar Names GM of Louisiana Station

Randy Stone has been promoted to vp and gm of Nexstar’s Monroe, Louisiana FOX affiliate KARD. He’ll also oversee Mission Broadcasting’s KTVE which is operated under a joint sales agreement.

Stone comes from Nextsar’s Grand Junction, Colo. stations KREX and KGJT where he was vp and gm. He also managed KFQX through a local marketing agreement.

Before working at Nexstar, he was gsm of KAUZ in Wichita Falls, Texas. He’s also worked as director of sales at WRSP-WCCU-WBUI in Springfield, Illinois, KLJB and KGWB (now KGCW) in the Quad Cities and was acting gsm of Grant Telecasting’s Midwest Region. He was also gsm at WPMI-WJTC in Mobile, Ala. and national sales manager at WZDX in Huntsville, Ala.
