Nexstar Appoints Another New General Manager

Nexstar has appointed another new general manager.

The station group has announced Jeffrey Guy will step into the role at the WJTV-WHLT, the CBS-affiliates serving the Jackson, Mississippi and Hattiesburg-Laurel, Mississippi markets.

“Throughout his career, Jeff Guy has demonstrated a results-oriented, entrepreneurial approach to the business of broadcasting and sales management. He brings to his new role a long-term record of achieving outstanding revenue performance and market share growth by implementing innovative programming strategies and unique digital concepts while elevating the level of service provided to local communities,” said the senior vice president of news, Bill Sally.

In a press release, Guy commented on his new role, “I am excited to immediately relocate to Mississippi with my family and to become an active participant in the local business community. In this new role, I will utilize the management experience and relationships built over my career to generate results and further strengthen the position of our Jackson and Hattiesburg television and digital operations.”

Prior to joining Nexstar, Guy acted as the general manager of WBND-WCWW-WMYS in South Bend, Indiana.
