All of WNYW‘s rival stations reported last night Greg Kelly, an anchor at the Fox O&O, was cleared of the rape charges made against him last month. WNBC, WABC, WPIX and WCBS all led their respective evening newscasts with the story.

WABC reporter Lucy Yang was live in lower Manhattan, while WCBS’ Sean Hennessey and WNBC’s Jonathan Dienst reported the story from the WCBS and WNBC newsrooms.

All four stations also reported the news throughout this morning’s newscasts. It was also reported on on “Today and “Good Morning America.”

WNYW reported the news on the evening newscast last night and the morning newscast, which is usually anchored by Kelly, this morning. WNYW reporter Tai Hernandez had a lengthy report which included the full statements from both Kelly and the Manhattan District Attorney’s office.

Steve Lacy has been filling in for Kelly during the investigation. In a statement, Kelly said he looks forward to returning to the WNYW anchor desk “soon.” A request for comment on Kelly’s leave of absence was not immediately returned by a Fox spokesperson.
